I have alot of free time now since University has finished, and I'm still looking for work. So I decided to start working on an old comic again along side my animation project I'm working on.
Oh Sh*t Zombies.
I started it back in 2010 and even got as far as chapter 1, but stopped as I just didn't have the time. Looking back at it, It really needs a re-design so I thought I'd post all the design I have for the main character Joe Timbur as well as the newest one, which has a more cartoon feel to it.
I'll start with the first from 2010
Here is a page from the orignal comic, I hope to keep something simular to this in the new version, but I'm making alot of changes.
I changed the last name to Timbur when designing these versions, not really sure why.
The next character in my Dark Knight Animated designs, Robin! I've always hated the little eye mask that robin wore so went for a cowl instead, keeping to the colour scheme as Batman apart from Robins red. I also went for an older age somewhere between 16-20.
For Dick Grayson's jacket I decided to have a little nod to Nightwing with the colours, and green jumper for the orignal Robin's colour scheme.
Was playing a bit of Arkham Asylum today and felt the urge to draw some Batman, so I started drawing this, while watching the old Batman films. The Tim Burton films are still awesome, but my god I forgot how awful Batman forever and Batman and Robin were.
I thought it be fun to draw the characters under and fake show title "The Dark Knight Animated", and maybe once I've finished "How the world will end" I might try animating Batman for fun.
The other day when clearing up my mac I came across a bunch of audio files from my second year at University, which happened to be the other recordings of How the World Will End. This has given me the idea of making a short film featuring the best ones, which also includes the one I used before which you can see a sneak peek at the improved version below
